Springtime at Monograms Plus!

Can it really be mid-May?? I have been delinquent in posting here, and will try to improve! We are thankful to have been incredibly busy! There is so much to share...I will just hit the high points for now. First, I'll share a list of topics to come:

Stories about the lines we carry - Vera Bradley, Life is good, Brighton, Tervis, Switchflops - many of your very favorite lines have some amazing, inspirational stories behind their success. Having been fortunate to meet many of the entrepreneurs who began these companies, I think you will enjoy hearing how they got where they are today.

Plans are already underway for Girls' Night Out 2010 - last year exceeded our wildest expectations, and a good time was had by all! We will release the date soon, so that you can save it and plan to join us! It will be mid-October, and we hope to have many of our top sales reps on hand. They add a lot of fun to the mix, and you will be able to ask them any questions you might have. Most also donate some super nice door prizes!

Sometimes we get so wrapped up in the product lines, we fail to keep you updated on the monogramming side of things. We'll be sharing more about monogramming with you as well - some history, traditions, and more from our collective 35+ years of monogramming experience.

We are truly a Tervis Tumbler Destination Retailer - just got in the new collegiate; and everything old is new again. As a 1982 Auburn grad, I was so excited to see the Auburn A with the Eagle return from the "vault"! Alabama has a retro design as well, featuring the Elephant and the A (pre-Big Al). We have many thousands of dollars in inventory in Tervis for you to choose from....and here is a news flash released only to top Tervis accounts.....drum roll....coming at the end of June: Disney licensed Tervis!!! Woohoo! We'll be among the first to get it. Spider Man will arrive around the first of June! New release Bridesmaid, Groomsman (what a great idea!), Coke, Diet Coke and more new emblems are already on the shelf!

5 new colors and designs arrived from Brushfire yesterday - gorgeous colors with the amazing cross and new scriptures on these best-selling tees! We are also restocked on the "Blindside" watches.

We have quite a few bridal, baby and graduation registries and always welcome anyone who'd like to complete one. Wish lists are available year round - just ask!

Christmas in Cullman - Open House

Christmas in Cullman is November 14 and 15th - we hope you will help us kick off the Christmas season. If you don't like the crowds, we highly recommend getting a head start while our selections are best. We have already run into problems with reorders from several companies. Due the grim economic forecasts for retail, many vendors did not produce the level of inventory they typically do, and we will not be able to fill in items that sell out. That is a frustrating paradox for us and for you. However, you came and you shopped at Girls' Night Out and proved all the naysayers wrong! We are going to have Christmas at Monograms Plus, and we hope you will continue to enjoy the spirit of the season with us! We've stocked lots of choices in all price ranges to help and hope to see you soon!

New Store Expansion!

Come see our newly expanded store! The new section houses 'Life is good' - as we are now officially a Life is good Shop in Store - meaning we carry a large selection of their line. You'll also find a large selection of Tervis Tumblers, Natural Life, Kavu, Southern Belle, and our collegiate section. In the older section of the store, we expanded Brighton, revamped our baby section, and made everything more shoppable. Vera Bradley promotion continues through 9/21; the All-in-one Wristlet is $10 off ($22 instead of regular $32) while supplies last. New Vera patterns are expected late this week or beginning of next. Girls' Night Out will be Thursday, 10/15.

Come visit the newest addition to our store: The Invitation Place at Monograms Plus! Our full service invitations and printing department opened in March and we have been thrilled with the response! To accommodate our continuing growth, we are expanding by an additional 2500 square feet, which is scheduled to open right after Labor Day! This will bring our total square footage to over 9000 - making us one of the largest gift stores in Alabama!
